Al Safi

Recipe photography and short films for Al Safi dairy, produced in the UAE through its Saudi agency.

The brief

Al Safi, a dairy brand in Saudi Arabia, briefed its agency there, and the agency brought the work to us on a strict timeline. Its product was shipped from Saudi Arabia to the UAE for the shoot.

How we shot it

Across a two-day production, we shot 18 recipes as photographs and short films. Pan-fried fillets get a creamy caper sauce, roasted sweet potato gets crumbled white cheese, and in the films a salad and a pizza come together step by step. Every frame is clean and recipe-led, built to run as a series.

Selected work

Golden pan-fried fillets with a creamy sauce, capers, parsley and lemon zest, a dish of butter beside the plate

A bowl of thick yoghurt dip topped with sumac, sesame, slivered pistachios and fresh mint, on a teal cloth

Roasted sweet potato with crumbled white cheese, pumpkin seeds, spring onion and rosemary in a brown bowl

A pizza with melted and crumbled cheese, roasted cherry tomatoes and basil, a pack of grated cheese beside it
